THOUSANDS FUND-RAISED AT REGATTA

The Charity Action Group (CAG) are delighted to report that nearly £9,500 was raised during Henley Royal Regatta. 

The CAG held a Champagne Raffle every day during the Regatta as well as a Silent Auction. There were some fabulous prizes in the Silent Auction including a luxury stay in Glitter Bay, Barbados; an Ascot Races Box for 16; and an Andy Murray career presentation board. The Silent Auction raised £3,053 and the Champagne Raffle raised £6,388, for this year’s chosen charities Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Alexander Divine Children’s Hospice. 

Chair of the CAG, Diana Pearman, commented on the funds raised durning the Regatta stating “the Charity Action Group would like to thank Phyllis Court Members and guests for their generous support”.

The next Charity Action Group event is ‘Tea Gowns and Afternoon Tea’ on Thursday 17th August.
