JOIN RAAS FOR A PINT
The Real Ale Appreciation Society invite all Members to join them for a virtual drink
Rick, the Chairman of RAAS writes:
"Every interest group is doing their bit to keep the spirits up and the social contact we all need during these abnormal times. The Real Ale Appreciation Society is no different.
As we cannot meet as usual in a pub for pub grub and a pint (or another drink of your choice) we are convening
every fortnight, Monday evening at 6.30pm for a virtual pub meet. I charge my glass with a pint from a Rebellion Brewery barrel and my wife charges hers with a glass of Pinot Grigio.
We have a general chat and then break out into separate “bars”.
Thus far we have “visited” The Zoom Inn, The Bird in Hand Sanitiser, The 4 Loo Rolls and The Six ruses (translate the six into roman numerals to get that one).
We also have introduced a theme for each meeting. Last one was a short quiz based around beer which was won by our PCC chairman with a score of 7 out of 8. More themes to follow.
Light-hearted, a great way to keep in touch with your PCC friends and just one government health warning;
I always deliver a couple of really excruciatingly bad jokes.
We invite you to join us but we do have to limit the number of guests and would also ask that after taking 2 Zooms to realise what a great bunch we are you formally join the RAAS.
Next “pub meet” is on Monday, 15th June at 6.30pm, thereafter fortnightly.
