First Dig for the Fitness Centre
19 September 2017
Tuesday 19th September sees the first sign of the Fitness Centre build at Phyllis Court Club in Henley.
Patricia Christmas, Chairman of the Private Members Club, donned a hard hat, high vis jacket and wellies before climbing aboard the digger and officially starting the build process by ‘breaking ground’ where the Fitness Centre is to be built.
Total Construction Ltd has erected the hoardings around the building site and relocated the car parking spaces to enable construction to begin. “The building work starts now and it’s very exciting to see actual activity. We anticipate the build will develop quickly and I look forward to sharing the progress with Members in the coming months” commented Patricia.
The Chairman thanked the current project board for the progress to date and also recognised the vision from many previous Club Chairmen. In the last 2 years the Club has seen significant support from its Members for the project which, once complete, will include a 20-metre swimming pool, gym, exercise studio and coffee/juice bar.
