Introducing Charlotte Hughes
23 July 2019
We are pleased to welcome Charlotte Hughes as Sports and Fitness Facilities Manager. We would like to express our sincerest thanks to Charlotte’s predecessor, Adam Powell, for his contributions in setting up and opening the Centre during the soft launch period.
Charlotte, who joined Phyllis Court in May from Anytime Fitness where she held the role of General Manager, will now oversee the next stage of the Fitness Centre’s evolution. It is her responsibility to manage aspects of the Centre – to ensure Members receive a quality personalised experience – as well as working as the Sporting Activities Liaison with Interest Groups.
She joins Phyllis Court with 10 years’ experience in the fitness industry gained at global brands such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts. A regular gym goer, her enthusiasm for sports and fitness was developed at an early age, having led an active childhood where she particularly enjoyed swimming and gymnastics. She went on to pursue her passion for fitness by studying for a National Diploma in Sport.
Commenting on her appointment, Charlotte said she has been made to feel very welcome: “It’s been a privilege to be part of the Club so far, I’ve enjoyed meeting Members and I look forward to meeting many more. As Phyllis Court is a private members club it is refreshing that the Fitness team and I are not tasked with selling ‘gym memberships’ as we would in a commercial gym. This means I can completely focus on my passion for customer satisfaction. I will innovate to build programmes that appeal to the wider membership, ensuring as many Members as possible are regularly enjoying this fantastic facility.”
