It's so important to us that our Members have access to enough information to help stay fit and healthy during this period. Our Fitness Team have created videos, challenges and workout material for Members to do whilst in isolation, however we are aware of some fantastic external content that we'd like to share with Members. 

Some of our external instructors, who usually take classes in the Fitness Centre are also offering virtual classes for Members to enjoy whilst at home. Find out more below:

NEW: Online Yoga Classes

Yoga Instructor Charlotte Boughen, who delivered yoga classes at the Fitness Centre until November 2019 when she embarked on a journey to India and Indonesia to develop her yoga practice is offering classes from Bali.

Monday
8-9 AM ~ Hatha Yoga  (level 1/Level 2)

Wednesday 
8-9 AM ~ Vinyasa Flow  (Level 2)

9.30-10.30 AM - Yoga for Everyone (Level 1 - exploring the foundations and traditions of yoga with Q&A at the end)

Friday
8-9AM ~ Slow Flow & Restore (Level 1)

PRICE: £5 per class

PRIVATE ONLINE SESSIONS  *Special June Offer £99 for Four Sessions*

This is an ideal way to explore, develop and understand your own personal yoga practice. A private session allows for a more intimate view into your practice or spend some time working with an injury or condition.  During each 75 mins session we will work on breath, postures, kriyas (cleansing practice) and relaxation. Included in this package is an initial 30 mins consultation and  a bespoke yoga class pdf to enable you to practice at home.

All online sessions will be live from Bali via Zoom and Charlotte will email the link for each class the day before.

External Instructor Classes - Steve Munn, Yoga

Steve is currently teaching his usual yoga classes online, via Zoom:
Monday - Yin yoga 6.00pm
Monday - Vinyasa flow 7.30pm
Wednesday - Vinyasa flow 7.30pm

If you’d like to book on for a class, please text Steve with your email address on 07770 945 416. To be able to join in with the class you will need to book on and pay by 5.00pm on the day of the class. Children are very welcome to join in with the class, if you'd like to book them on please make a donation.

External Instructor Classes - Adrienne Riel, IyengarYoga

If you’d like to join Adrienne for ZOOM classes she will be teaching Iyengar Yoga at 09:30am on Tuesdays. For more information please contact Ady via email or visit her website.

Please note that you will only be able to join Adrienne’s virtual class if she has taught you before.

External Instructor Classes - Kirsten Cowan, Pilates

Pilates instructor Kirsten Cowan is offering one hour pilates classes using Zoom

The classes take place Monday to Friday at 9am and Tuesday at 5pm. You don't have to have any equiptment, but a mat and some light weights such as tins of food would be useful. Each classes is £10 and payment should be made directly to Kirsten. To book a session or find out more please email kirsten.cowan@btinternet.com
 

NHS Online Classes

A range of beginner, intermediate and advanced classes can be found on the NHS website which are free to do. Take your pick from 24 instructor-led videos focussing on aerobics exercise, strength and resistance, and pilates and yoga. These workouts have been created by fitness experts and range from 10 to 45 minutes. View the workouts here

Les Mills Online Classes

Les Mills are offering a 60 day free trial, which some of our Fitness Team are currently following! By signing up you will have access to over 800+ of the world's best workouts for at home or on the go. Challenge yourself to a variety of workouts, powered by science, and proven to get results. Ranging from 15-55 minutes the workouts include strength, cardio, HIIT, dance, flexibility, and more.

Technogym Twellness App

If you want even more classes, Technogym are giving all Phyllis Court Members free access to their 'twellness app'.

Everyday 'twellness' will be updated with three new workouts - Easy, Medium and Pro. The app is free to use, you just need to download 'twellness' from the 'app store' on your phone or tablet then create an account, or if you have the mywellness app, your login details will be the same.
