On Wednesday 23rd September we will be celebrating National Fitness Day 2020! National Fitness Day is a day which encourages the nation to celebrate the fun of fitness and physical activity. It is the most active day of the year and the day to celebrate the role that physical activity plays across the UK.

We will be holding some special taster classes, free personal training sessions, a wellness talk and a swim challenge for you to get involved with in the Fitness Centre to recognise the day and celebrate all things fitness at Phyllis Court! If you'd like to find out more about the fitness facilities come along on the day to speak to one of the team.

30 minute Taster Classes 

The taster classes will be availabe to book online from 8am, seven days in advance (Wednesday 16th September). You do not need to book the Zoom classes, the Zoom link will be shared in In Touch before the event.

08.15 - 08.45 Legs, Bums & Tums (booking required)
10.45 - 11.15 Pure Stretch (via Zoom, no booking required)
12.15 - 12.45 No Impact (via Zoom, no booking required)
15.00 - 15.30 Body Tone (booking required)

Free Personal Training Sessions

There will be a limited number of free personal training sessions throughout the day. Personal training can help you to discover what type of exercise is right for you and help you to achieve your goals. If you are interested in booking a session please email Charlotte

Wellness Talk  

Maintaining Your Long-Term Health Through Exercise

Physical activity is important as we age. There are endless benefits from staying active through the years, including prevention against disease, improved mental health and building a stronger immune system.

Join our Zoom talk with Personal Trainer, Sam at 9:30am next Wednesday on National Fitness Day who will be going over why we should keep moving and how to do incorporate regular activity into our lives.

Swimming Challenge

Take part in our swimming challenge to see how many lengths you can do during your 45 minute session in the swimming pool. The top male and female swimmers will receive a free personal training session.
