Private club membership in Henley

On Monday 4th January it was announced that England was to enter lockdown for the third time. This means that the Clubhouse and Fitness Centre are temporarily closed until the lockdown is lifted. The Club is closely monitoring all directions from central Government and we are operating within the Coronavirus lockdown guidelines. We continue to offer take-aways, pre-prepared meals and food and provisions for our Members.

Keep an eye on the website and our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) for Club updates, fitness inspiration and offerings for Members.

Staff are on hand to answer any questions via the Club helpline, 01491 570500, which is available from 8am-8pm, seven days a week.

Are you celebrating a wedding anniversary? A Birthday Party? An engagement?

The good news is that members don’t pay for room hire if they wish to hold a private event or a meeting at the Club.

Facilities for Members

Phyllis Court has 17 bedrooms, meeting rooms, dining areas, three versatile function rooms in the main Clubhouse (all licensed for weddings) plus the wonderfully located Riverside Pavilion (also licensed for weddings), and free Wi-Fi throughout the premises. Our new Workspace, which is open from 9am - 8pm Monday to Sunday, is in a private setting away from the hustle and bustle of the Clubhouse and has excellent Wi-Fi, the Workspace is an ideal location in which to work.

The state-of-the-art Fitness Centre has a swimming pool, gym, sanarium, exercise studio, treatment rooms and changing rooms. The Club grounds are home to four all-weather tennis courts, croquet lawns, a rowing enclosure, Billiards and Snooker Room and a moat for mooring.

History of Phyllis Court

In 1906 in Britain when Rolls-Royce LTD was registered, the Bakerloo Line of the London Underground opened, and England Rugby Team played in their first international Rugby match, Phyllis Court Club was founded by Roy Finlay.
