The Bridge Club at Phyllis Court

Bridge for all abilities

The Bridge Club is a friendly Interest Group with some 350 Members. The Club welcomes Members of all experience levels and offers a range of playing opportunities so there is something for everyone.

There is Bridge play throughout the week. Duplicate is played on Monday and Friday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. A supervised, more relaxed, Duplicate session is run on Wednesday afternoons and on both Monday and Friday mornings there is supervised bridge.

Throughout the year we run classes for Beginners and Improvers (fees payable) as well as offering mentoring sessions on an occasional basis.

All sessions are run by experienced directors and teachers. The Duplicate results are available at the end of each session and published on our Bridge Club website. We operate a host system for duplicate events which means players without a partner will always get a game. The Bridge Club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union and Master Points are awarded for all qualifying sessions.

The Club holds two extremely popular Summer and Winter parties where lunch is served followed by Chicago Bridge in the afternoon. We participate in a local league, play matches against Reciprocal Clubs and aim to run at least two seminars per year, with Andrew Robson, an International player, giving one of them.
