The Pub and Real Ale Appreciation Society
Enjoy real ale in good company
The Pub and Real Ale Appreciation Society is an easy-going and sociable group who enjoy visiting pubs with other members. Drinking beer is not an essential requirement but many of our group do enjoy their real ale.
We meet over dinner in a different pub each month, mixing some old favourites with some exciting new discoveries. Three times a year we meet at Phyllis Court and bring in a barrel of ale to accompany the meal. We often have a speaker or other entertainment at these meetings. We also organise visits to breweries and beer festivals, plus a tour of a town with plenty of historic pubs enjoying a drink in each on the way round.
We meet on the first Monday of each month unless it is a Bank Holiday when we slip a week. Prospective members are always welcome to come along and try one of our meetings - if you like what you find you can then join.
