The Garden Club

Tours and talks for gardeners and garden lovers

The Garden Club is open to all Members who are interested in Gardens and gardening. They are a friendly group who enjoy monthly meetings throughout the year and vary between outings to gardens, both large and small, and demonstrations and lectures which usually take place in the winter months.

Outings are made to beautiful gardens and arboretums around the country mainly during the summer months, but the group also visit specialist gardens, snowdrops, in the spring and autumn months.

The Garden Club lectures have ranged from a talk by Val Bourne on First-Rate Perennials”, a fascinating talk which included information on 46 of her favourite plants;  a talk by Stefan White entitled ‘Come into the Garden Maude’ informing us about famous female gardeners over the decades, and a talk and wine tasting from the local Fairmile vineyard.
