Classic Motoring Group

A club for the classic car aficionado

The Classic Motoring Section was started by a small group of like-minded enthusiasts over twenty years ago and currently has around two hundred members who enjoy a variety of social events and share an interest in motoring.

Although some members have classic motor cars, ownership is not a prerequisite to membership or participation in a programme of diverse activities with wide-ranging appeal. The group's monthly events nearly all contain a motoring flavour, including a short all-inclusive group holiday for approximately forty members during the summer - an event which is always in great demand. In 2022, we are planning a motoring tour in Europe. 

A display and procession of members' classic cars during the August Bank Holiday is staged on the riverside lawns in front of the Clubhouse, followed by lunch. It is open to all members of the Club and provides a great opportunity to bring family and friends to Phyllis Court.
