Fitness Centre Opening

The 21st September 2018 will go down in Phyllis Court history. In 1929 Roy Finlay, Club Founder, dreamt of a swimming pool at Phyllis Court and 2018 his niece, Dione Venables, witnessed the opening of the Fitness Centre!
The historic event saw media and specially invited guests witness the handover of the Fitness Centre key. Club Chairman, Barry Jackson, gave a speech, and he together with his predecessor Patricia Christmas, presented Dione with a commemorative frame that included a copy of the original plan of Finlay’s pool and a photo of the Centre today.
As Finlay’s focus had always been the swimming pool, it took pride of place at the event with twenty Members jumping into the pool. The lucky Members were the winners of CAG raffle to be one of the first in the pool.
The Fitness Centre will be open this weekend for Members to view and meet the team. The Centre will become operational on Monday, and the classes will begin on 1st October.
